Effective July 1, 2011, superior and state court jury lists are created by the Council of Superior Court Clerks of Georgia. The Council is required by law to use the state's licensed driver and voter lists to identify and include in the county jury pool all residents who are "prima facie" eligible for service on both trial and grand juries. All residents of Liberty County who are 18 years of age or older, citizens of the United States, and have not been convicted of a felony or, if convicted of a felony, have had their civil rights restored are therefore eligible to serve as jurors. The county jury commission can no longer add names to the jury pool. Any citizen whose name is not listed on Liberty County's jury list and who wants to be included as a potential juror should register to vote and obtain a driver's license issued with a mailing address in Liberty County.
